Russell Micklethwaite is the owner and operator of Skytek, LLC. He has been in the firearm industry for over three decades. Russell started his career by serving his country in the Air Force from 1987-1993 working in the ordnance division. It was then that Russell discovered his passion for all things firearm.

Leaving the South African Air Force with distinction, Russell pursued his passion in firearms where he ran one of the largest gun retailers in South Africa serving both private parties and law enforcement personnel. As a custom gunsmith Russell also had the opportunity during this period to repair and refurbish innumerable firearms, both current day precision weapons and antique collectibles.

When moving to the United States, Russell took his passion for firearms one step further and has been designing and manufacturing parts for various competition firearms for the past decade. During this period is when the concept of SH15 was born. With intense design and development, focused feasibility studies, and invaluable local law enforcement input the SH15 became a reality. Russell has a sincere respect for LEO and military personnel around the world.

He is honoured that he has been able to design a firearm that will improve tactical operations, in turn giving LEO and military personnel the upper hand on those that wish to do harm to the public
